My name is Joey Capper. Chi Alpha has been an all-around life-changing and transformative experience for me, but one event that stands out in particular was the missions trip to Colombia that I went on over spring break of 2015. My faith in Christ has always been important to me, but on that trip I found that I really have a heart for sharing the gospel and love seeing people come to faith in Christ. Previously, I believed Satan’s lie that I was not good enough to step out and share my faith or that I was too shy. During that trip, I really began to take to heart the fact that he who is in me is greater than he who is in the world. The highlight of that trip for me was on the last day when a homeless man decided to accept Christ for the first time and I got to pray for him. I will continue to build God’s kingdom and am excited to see what God has in store next.
