Seasons change faster with each passing year. It was not long ago that we were filled with the joy of Christmas as we hung the lights and ornaments around the house, our favorite Christmas music playing in the background, and the smell of pine, as the tree was set up in his usual corner of the house. Here we are, just a few weeks later and the sights smell and sounds around our house are so different. Jesus told his disciples as they were admiring the temple’s beauty that one day these things will no longer be here, this too will change just like the seasons. Just as we see the trees tell us that summer is near, by how the leaves appear so will the signs of wars, earthquakes, famines, and pestilences point to Christ's second coming. You see God wants us to be ready for His coming, He wants his children to be spiritually awake and watching so we are in tune with Jesus and aware of His return. Only when we are spiritually alert, can we be praying for the strength to shine for Christ before His return.
